My Mom didn’t ask to have two strokes. Please Help

Donation protected
Our mom is a warrior.

In 2022, she suffered not one but two strokes in ONE YEAR. During the last stroke, she went unresponsive just seconds before going into cardiac arrest. God saved her life.

In just over a year, there have been many obstacles that we have watched her overcome. In fact, if you look over her adult life she has lived in miracles. She would say that even through hard times like this, God is still ‘present in the midst’ helping our family remain whole. Her faith in God is strong and she keeps her shoulders back. The fight to live is indeed in her.

She has been the PROVIDER for me and my siblings for our entire lives, but nothing could have prepared us for this mountain she is facing. She is our mother and our father, a caretaker, a healer, a counselor, a nurturer, a preacher, a best friend, a teacher - she is our SUPERHERO! She has always acted in selfless devotion and sacrifice, and the moment she started focusing on her recovery and prioritizing herself to ensure her healing comes, the crisis of her jobs terminating her employment happens. That’s right, jobs PLURAL.

Needlessly to say, she has been a proud mother to my younger brother, a statue of grace to my younger sister, and a humble warrior to me. We want her to fully heal, but it has been one thing OR the other - either it’s working on her recovery, or it’s working to bring income into the family to manage the household. Over the past few months, she has fallen behind because these two things haven’t been able to exist together. Her healing is our priority, and as the eldest child who lives on the other side of the country in California - I cannot bear to watch her continue to sacrifice her health in order to be the provider for my siblings. Anyone who knows her, knows she is too selfless to do something like this. But WE need her to recover FULLY… we need her to breathe and heal… she just needs MORE time to catch up and LESS things on her plate to have to manage.

On top of her medical debt from the first 2-week hospital stay and the second 4-week hospital stay which included inpatient rehab to help her learn how to walk again, they are now facing eviction due to the debt that has accrued over the past few months. We have exhausted our financial options. We need her burdens to be lifted so she can focus on her recovery, but our family can only provide so much financially. God is fighting her battle from Heaven, and WE NEED YOU to help us raise $12,000(updated) so they can stay in the home. Will you please help this effort and be a miracle for her and for our family? We are truly grateful for any amount you can give!
