Can you help a community cat in need?
Dottie is a 12-year-old community cat in South San Francisco who has been lovingly cared for by volunteers for years. On January 18th, she appeared gravely ill, with a badly swollen, darkened eye, open wounds on her face, and painful sores on her arm. She cried out for attention and help.
After a week of dedicated trapping efforts, we were finally able to get her to Colma Animal Hospital on January 26th. Dottie needed emergency care, blood work, and the surgical removal of her damaged eye. Even with a feral-cat discount, the initial cost was over $3,000. Tissue from the mass has been sent for biopsy, and we are now waiting for results.
Dottie is part of a big colony of 15 community cats cared for by volunteers who provide daily feeding, TNR, and ongoing medical care. Over the years, we have never turned away a cat in need—even covering major surgeries out of pocket.
We are now humbly asking for help. Any donation—no matter the amount—will go directly toward Dottie’s veterinary bills and ongoing care as we wait for more answers. I will continue post about her journey on my social @kittens_r_beautiful.
If you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser or sending love her way means just as much. Thank you for caring about Dottie and the community cats who depend on us.
Dottie loves you back.
