Ariyah was born on the 24th of June 2023, from the moment she was born, I had concerns about both of her eyes. I was reassured that everything was fine, but something didn’t feel right. I pushed for further opinions, trusted my instincts, and as a result, Ariyah was diagnosed with retinoblastoma ,a rare and life-threatening eye cancer.

At just two weeks old, she had her left eye removed to save her life. What followed was months of chemotherapy, hospital stays, and constant travel to Birmingham for specialist care to protect her remaining eye and keep the cancer under control. Even after finishing treatment, the journey didn’t stop. Ariyah continued regular check-ups under general anaesthetic, spending so much of her early childhood in and out of hospital just to make sure the cancer stayed away.

In December 2025, my precious girl finally got her moment and rang the bell, marking what we thought was two years cancer free. After everything she had been through, it felt like she could finally just be a child again. From the time Ariyah was diagnosed with her chromosome deletion, I had been told that she would likely be severely delayed, affecting her speech, movement, and overall development. But Ariyah has been defying every expectation placed on her. She was thriving and blossoming, attending nursery and making progress that amazed everyone around her. Her development in both speech and movement didn’t just improve it shocked specialists. Every single day, she continues to prove just how strong she is, amazing everyone who meets her. I will never let anyone define her again.

But only one month later, everything changed. In January 2026, Ariyah was taken to hospital, and two days later, on the 28th January, I was told she had developed pineoblastoma, a rare and aggressive brain tumour linked to her original cancer due to a chromosome deletion.

Since then, Ariyah has undergone brain surgery and is now going through intense chemotherapy all over again but this time it is worse than before. She continues to show a level of strength that no child should ever have to find. Despite everything, she is still such a bright and loving little girl who finds joy in the simplest things watching Bluey, anything Disney, listening to music, and collecting little treasures she finds along the way that make her smile. everyone who is lucky enough to know Ariyah knows how infectious her Beautiful smile is.

I am raising money to give Ariyah every possible chance and the best quality of life along the way. This includes access to treatments that may not be funded by the NHS, support for ongoing and future care, and preparing for further treatment such as radiotherapy, which may help prolong her life but can come with long-term effects. More than anything, we want to create special moments for her outside of hospital when she is well enough, and support her day-to-day needs as she also lives with additional disabilities that affect her everyday life. While we remain hopeful for her treatment in the UK, we need to be prepared for every possibility, including seeking options elsewhere if needed.

Ariyah has already faced more in her short life than most ever will. Words will never come close to how proud I am of her every single day. This isn’t just about treatment, it’s about giving her comfort, joy, experiences, and the chance to truly live her life despite everything she’s facing. No child should have to fight this hard, not once and certainly not twice.
