Hi, my name is Algie Williams and I'm trying to help the Hill family who had a medical emergency. The Hill family has always supported not only each other but also all those who could benefit from what limited resources they had.. The children made extra effort to care for their parents who have done the best they could to instill social and financial responsibilities. In spite of that their family has found themselves in a "predicament" that have become overwhelming. The parents came to London Canada as visitors in November of last year to get Mother Hill fitted with her double prosthetic legs - that financial obligation the family had planned for. What was unplanned was their dad's sudden illness. In January of 2026, he was rushed from Urgent care to the operating room in University Hospital in London Ontario where blood clot the size of a small tomato was removed from his brain. Hospitalizations and surgery resulted with a medical bill that they are not able to foot completely:

Urgent care : $3, 293

Surgeon fees: $4, 280

Anesthesia $4575

Hospital fees: $17, 982.

Total : $30,130.

The children came up with 50% of the bill and are seeking some assistance to cover the rest.

Due to the parents' pre-existing medical conditions, travel insurance at the time was very expensive and was forfeited because their life insurance had travel insurance included, only to be told after the fact, by the insurance company that the term of the policy changed once they turned 65 years old and they are no longer insured for traveling.

Evral Hill is a great dad, brother, husband, uncle, grandfather and many people in Chapelton and Four Paths in Jamaica can attest to his kindness and fatherly support. For the past 7 years he has been the primary caregiver for his wife of almost 50 years, being there when she lost the first leg in 2019 and the second in 2025. The family is grateful that their dad and granddad was able to get the medical care necessary to extend his life and is mindful that if his health issues surfaced in Jamaica, the outcome could have been different.
