Give for Gabe

As many of you know, our friend Gabe was admitted into the hospital on November, 24th with COVID-19. He had been fighting the virus from home for over a week prior to that.  His oxygen level dropped below 90 and he needed serious medical attention. Gabe has been very open about his battle with diabetes and has done tremendous fighting this disease. To make things more challenging, COVID has been devastating to those with underlying conditions, such as diabetes.  
After serving for over 16 years for the same company as a utility worker, Gabe has worked directly with individual customers in the interest of their own safety and public safety as a whole. It was his front line service that unfortunately resulted in him contracting COVID-19, despite taking all necessary precautions. Gabe's health has declined drastically and has sidelined him longterm. Gabe's company recently informed him that he will not receive longterm disability, paid leave or worker's compensation now that he is out of the hospital. He continues to recover from home but his battle is FAR from over.  
This is where WE COME IN......
For those of us who know Gabe, we know he is a "giver" and not a "taker".  He has always taken care of others and has never asked for help.... So I will ask for him!
He is a wonderful father to (2) beautiful girls, Maddie and Bella. He is a loyal husband to his wife Rosalie of 17 years. He is down but not out and I ask that you help pick him up. 
Our goal for Gabe is to be able to focus on his recovery without the additional stress of medical expenses, missing work and any unexpected medical treatments. What seems like a Christmas the Velasquez family will want to forget, we would like to give them a miracle they will remember forever!
