I'm Shay, a queer disabled 19-year-old college student who was recently (and suddenly) kicked out of my home due to my tumultuous family life. As a result, I am now in a very precarious housing situation.

At the moment, I can couch-surf for a few months or so, but I'll need some help getting back on my feet. It's the middle of summer in my hometown of Phoenix, AZ — a rough environment for anyone, but can be lethal for me and my POTS. Jobs that I can manage with my disability are hard to come by right now as well, and I don't quite have the money in the bank to have a solid footing on life at the moment while I look for work and more stable housing.

Your funds would go to: helping pay for community college tuition (or for supplies to start a trade apprenticeship), public transit fare, life-saving healthcare & medication, finding & maintaining housing, and supporting me through a hard summer.
