Shayna Morphew Medical Bills and Stroke Recovery

On October 8th we received a text from Shay that Shayna was taken to the hospital via ambulance due to her experiencing stroke-like symptoms. They ran some tests and eventually concluded that she had blood clots on her brain and came up with a game plan to break them up. However, in the middle of the night on October 9th she got progressively worse as she was having difficulty talking and forming sentences and eventually started seizing. Since then, they have inserted a catheter into her neck and up into her brain – this way they are able to pump medication to help urge the clots to dissolve. She has been sedated since then. They have run multiple tests and are hopeful that the clots will be fully dissolved soon and they will be able to remove the catheter and start the process of waking her up. They mentioned that they did see some damage to her brain but it’s hard to say the extent until she wakes up. We are staying hopeful that our sweet Shayna will wake up and be ready to fight the long battle that will be her recovery. As some of you may know, her and Shay welcomed their second beautiful baby boy into the world just 9 days ago on October, 1st. We know being away from her boys is what will hurt Shayna the most. With Shayna’s time in the ICU on top of her just having Dorian a little over a week ago – we want to hopefully take up some of the financial burden for this family.
