WE, THE EDWARDS FAMILY, STARTED A NON-PROFIT TO HONOR OUR DAUGHTER SHAYLIE FOR THE AMAZING AMOUNT OF work she has put in to her recovery. On june 6th2019 Shaylie and Shannon were hit by vehicle while in a crosswalk. Shannon was in the hospital for a few weeks. Shaylie was in the HOSPITAL for 3 months. We were told she may not make it out of the hospital. if she did there is no way of knowing how her recovery go or if she would recover at all. Through the process of recovery we found many avenues and valleys that were very tough to navigate. we had a hard time finding Therapy,Equipment,Nursing,and counseling. we also found much comfort in the hospital from the kindness of gifts and entertainment that was brought to us by friend and family.

 This is why The shaylie edwards foundation was born. We want to provide support to children and their families experiencing tramua due to accidents and long hospital stays. We want to help patients and families navigate through the aftermath of hardships due to trauma and long hospital stays.
