The doctors say they've never seen anything like it. They said she is very lucky to be alive. Last Saturday my niece, Shayla, was sent to the hospital with an extremely serious, even life-threatening injury. It truly is a miracle that she survived!
Now the healing begins. But unfortunately, Shayla does not have insurance, and she is facing some heavy medical and recovery bills, with months of rehab ahead.
I am asking for your help, as we all pull together, to help her cover some of these expenses.
Shayla was already living in severe pain for the last two years from a botched surgery and with arthritis. And the side effects from the pain meds have left her with depression. Compound that with financial and recent marital troubles and you begin to understand what she has been and will be going through.
On a personal note, Shayla is a kind and generous Christian lady, having come to Christ as an adult. God has used her life as a witness in prison ministries and has often volunteered in many capacities in her church.
God uses broken souls, broken vessels, and broken clouds to spread his message. Suffering is stronger than any teacher. Shayla is a born leader and she is going through the fire to be purified to rise up and go into the ends of the earth.
Thank you for giving what you can and showing your love and support to Shayla and her family during this most difficult time while she is recovering. Her medical bills are going to be overwhelming, and anything will help!
Please keep her and her family in your prayers.
