I'm Shay and I'm an international student from Iran attending Arizona State University majoring on Political Science and Economics.
This summer, I will be interning at the American Enterprise Institute (AEI) which is my dream internship. However, cost of living and housing in D.C. is really high, especially for an Iranian who has to pay international tuition which is twice the amount in-state residents pay. Unfotunately, as an international student, I can't work for money either.
I will use this money for food and housing in D.C. My internship starts on May 16th and goes on for almost two months. My rent alone costs more than $1500 for the duration of my stay. So the sooner I have this money the better.
My dream has always been to study foreign policy and work in foreign policy sector. AEI's internship is one of the best foreign policy internships in the Country. The selection process is very tight and the interns should be very qualified. I am extremely lucky to have been accepted. This will be the beginning of my life goal to promote universal human rights and American style of democracy around the world and I need your help to do that.
