As of today 01/18/2023 Shaye is back in the hospital with pneumonia. Our daughter Shaye is currently waiting for a double lung transplant in Houston due to her lungs deteriorating from having Pulmonary Hypertension for 13 years. It is causing bleeds in her right lung which she has had to have a balloon put in her lung to try and help but the bleeds continue. She is in the process of being evaluated for a double lung transplant and the board will make a decision soon. They have to speak to her team in St Louis where she had the Potts Shunt surgery to get more in depth information before they decide whether they will do the transplant. She needs to gain weight (which is 3 meals a day plus snacks) all of that has to be increased. She is anemic and needs more iron, so will work on iron rich foods as well as a supplement. They attempted infusions of iron but made her throw up which is not good for her weight so those were stopped. Until then she is on Tranexamic acid inhaled treatment twice a day to keep the bleeds at bay until she can get her lungs. The insurance will not cover it. We have to pay 100.00 for every 7 day supply and we are using a discount coupon so this is the cost after. I am staying in Houston to be her caretaker and take her to appointments until after transplant. Her dad and younger sister remain in Idaho to hold down everything at home there.

Funds will be used for needed medication, food, gas, parking and necessities to get here through this! All are very expensive and unfortunately we can't afford to keep up with it all. Anything you can do would be greatly appreciated and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. ❤️ Teresa & Greg
