With truly shattered hearts we are having to share the news that we lost our beautiful baby boy, Shay Blu Taylor, on Thursday 8th May 2025.

Shay was only 8 months old but he brought so much love, joy and meaning that can never be put into words.

Shay really was one of a kind with an extremely unique character and story. At just a few weeks old he was diagnosed with an extremely rare genetic condition called Costello Syndrome; where only 1 in 300,000 are born with this condition. With multiple long hospital admissions, surgeries and life saving procedures at Southampton General and Frimley Park Hospital our little warrior was tired fighting and grew his angel wings.

We would like to make sure Shay has a truly magical send off in honour of his life and for those that never got a chance to meet him to at least have the opportunity to say goodbye.

Finally, we would also like to make sure we have some keepsakes for Shay’s incredible older brother and sister as well as ourselves to truly celebrate and honour his life.

Of course none of the last 8 months were what any of us had planned or expected. This has hit our family hard emotionally but also financially. We used our own money to fund some of the equipment for Shay and the extended stays in hospital have taken their toll on our funds.

Any help, even a little would go a long way for our family to honour our baby boy at this difficult time. Thank you. The Taylors.
