Shawn's latest greatest book.

Through an impromptu meeting with Bryan Rutland, Shawn Middleton and Josh Strayer we were able to forge an incredible partnership between an illustrator and an author. Working together, they created the Story, The dragon and the Knight in Shining Armor. The book has everything from Illustrations that jump off the page, to a story that has action and adventure that ends with love and friendship. Whether you're reading this book at home as a bedtime story or seeing it live in a school setting, Josh and Shawn bring the story to life.

I have always dreamed of writing a children’s book and knew I have accomplished this three times. I believe this is my finest story and best work to date. I grew up in Durham, NH and currently resides there today. It is from my childhood memories and vivid imagination that I have developed my story ideas. This book The dragon and the Knight in Shining Armor has really been a labor of love. I worked on the story with my 8th grade English teacher Linda Rief and my next door neighbor Ruth Mcdonald, a UNH professor of children's literature. Through their help I was able to write the book. As a professional storyteller since 2000, I have brought my genius for spinning yarns to communities from New England to California, with the goal of fostering a deep appreciation for storytelling, reading, and writing. Josh Strayer, born and raised in New Hampshire, has been drawing his entire life. With a supportive family throughout his life, Josh completed his BFA at Plymouth State University and has been using it since to create a dynamic selection of work with his unique styles.
