Hello, my name is Shawn and I have an urgent emergency regarding my health. I had a crazy near accident of a fall, and if the stair was not there to help catch me, I would have been hurt badly, but this moved this health care establishment into an emergency of urgency.

So, there were plans to move states last year, but the time planned and preparation moved up dramatically because we lost our house to a forceful eviction, which now there are records that we are required to pay up a year's lease in full. That led to being without a home now for 7 months, putting an enormous hardship on establishing residency in the state we moved to.

Establishment of residency in the state we are in is very strict with the time frame required, and although because of my age there is an expedited process, it is only after having a permanent and verified address for a certain amount of time. Residency must be established before health care is established, and with my health conditions and recent concerns, I really need to get a health plan here as soon as possible!

I have 2 autoimmune conditions, type 2 diabetes, sleep apnea that in part was diagnosed from COVID that left permanent scarring on my lungs, high blood pressure, and the most recent is an umbilical cord hernia that needs to begin to be monitored. I not only need a primary doctor but several specialists like a cardiologist for the heart murmur that opened back up about 5 years ago and heart palpitations that may be initiated by the autoimmune conditions but also high blood pressure. I need to be under the care of a pulmonary specialist for sleep apnea, for which I am currently on oxygen at night, and it’s time to get the study done again for any adjustment, and the current machine needs to be evaluated for proper efficacy. These are just a few. Yes I could go to urgent care or emergency even hospitalized but that will not solve the on going issue plus the medical facilities here don’t have to allow much because there is no residential establishment or health care insurance. I must be careful about how I manage my health care coverage because each State has their own requirements rules and regulations and do to the change in government I could risk coverage for my maintenance medication and labs. During the process in addition I may need to pay out of pocket as well for visits and medication that is to be seen but need to be prepared. I am also on a weight loss journey that has been put on hold because when you are without a home shelter has to be first priority. There are no resources that will cover what I need for this process that doesn’t have a year wait list at the very least.
