As I am sitting here thinking about my cousin Shawn Carrasco , my heart aches for the pain that he is going through right now. As a single father he has done everything he can to put his kids first, they are the most precious thing to him. Years ago, when they were just babies he got full custody and has raised them on his own ever since. he is the man who never stops quitting and he did and still does anything in his power to provide for what they needed and their well-being. Shawn, make sure they have food on the table and a roof over their heads even when he struggles with what life throws at him. Shawn is a caring , loving, hardworking, and Brave man. He LOVES his family and friends and would do anything to help a soul whenever possible. Three months ago he got injured picking up broken cement slabs off the back of his truck, which at the time not knowing injured his lungs.  Suffering body and chest pain, fever and sweats he has gone to the emergency room numerous times to just be sent home saying everything is okay. During all of this he has been unable to work steadily due to his physical condition as most days he couldn’t even get out of bed from the pain he was experiencing. But he tried and tried to get back to work finally getting used to his pain and aches just two weeks ago was able to start a new job.  Still not feeling 100% he tried his best because he needed to work he has children to feed and care for, bills to pay and catch up on. Then life hit hard Friday he ended up back in the emergency room this time at a different hospital where they took care of him and figured out what was going on. Not knowing his life had been on the line this entire time as he was walking around with abscess in his lungs and pneumonia. The abscess and infection is built up so bad he is in quarantine. Undergoing a immediate procedure to start draining his infection. Again, a couple of days later needing yet another surgery because the outcome isn’t what they wanted.  As you all know the cost of living is crazy out here much less medical expenses, so I am reaching out to all for your help. Shawn is a father of two and their sole provider, I’m asking for help to make sure they will still have a home to come home to after school, food in their tummies, running water for their showers, and help just for their everyday expenses and the medical bills that are going to start flying their way. His life was on the line he is a WARRIOR and he is fighting but something like this takes time to recover from. In all kindness and grace I ask for Blessings to be poured over Shawn and his family that he will have the financial support to be able to support his children as he starts a full recovery in this time of need.
