Shawn Lim was a bright person. He was a dreamer and a lover of arts. He was a beloved son, and brother, and he was also loved by everyone who knew him.
We are devastated to have to let him go so soon at the ripe age of 18, when he was just beginning to explore the world. This June, he would have been graduating from high school.
On February 25th, 2017, just two weeks after his 18th birthday, while at Bolsa Chica beach we lost Shawn to the ocean. He was with his friends, enjoying the simple things - collecting seashells on the beach, when he was pulled in suddenly to the water by the strong tides and waves. Unfortunately, no one was able to get him in time, and he disappeared into the sea.
As of March 3, 2017 his body has washed up ashore. We are fundraising to help cover the costs of funeral arrangements and ceremonies to honor Shawn in the best way possible. We would appreciate all your love and support that you can offer at this time.
