Friends & Fam - we NEED your help

On August 7, Shawn Rouen passed away peacefully in his sleep at the young age of 59. Shawn was a loving, musical, helpful, funny, critter-lovin', hardworking man. Shawn worked his entire adult life as a plumber, and at his passing, was considered a Master of his trade.

Shawn helped raise three amazing young adults: step-daughter Carly, and his boys Isaac & Josiah (who aren’t even 30 yet). His family was his world - especially his kids! Shawn worked hard to provide for them and even made provisions in the event of his passing.

Unfortunately, because nothing was in writing, there will be probate delays in any payouts of these funds, which is why we are asking for your help.

Shawn’s biblical desire to be buried rather than cremated is costly. Carly, Isaac & Josiah flew to Phoenix to attend to Shawn’s final needs, and the boys are kind of stuck in limbo here. We had hoped the funeral costs could be backed by Shawn’s life insurance, but this request has been denied.

Just the burial itself is close to $20K, and both boys have now been off work and relying on family for the past few weeks. The funds requested are to cover funeral expenses, help support the boys while they are stuck in AZ, and to help them get back home once the burial is complete.

I know this is a lot of personal detail - but I am praying that friends, family & loved ones of the Rouen family can help us honor Shawn & take care of his boys.
