Shawn's liver transplant

Dear family, friends and anyone else who is willing to help,
My fiance, Shawn, was recently diagnosed with liver cancer. Thankfully thus far the cancer has not masticized and he is able to get onto the transplant list. His liver doctor has a plan to shoot kemotherapy directly into his liver, shrink the masses and then do an ablation to either freeze or burn the masses. This plan will hopefully enable him tokeep the cancer at bay and buy him enough time in order to recieve his liver transplant. unfortunately this health crisis coincides with my recent diagnosis of fibromyalgia (a chronic pain condition) and I am unable to contribute to our household financially. This combined with our current failing health care system, Shawn's consistent need to take time off for doctor's appointments and his illness, we are in desperate need of financial help. His copay for the biopsy alone was $500. and I am afraid that this is the tip of the iceberg. A transplant costs upwards of $250,000. We have to travel and stay in California in order for Shawn to recieve his liver transplant because Nevada does not do them. As it is we are struggling to make our normal bills, rent, utilities, car insurance, ect., let alone the mounting medical bills and cost of the medications he requires. Shawn is becoming more and more fatigued and we fear that he may not be able to work much longer. It will take some time before he will be approved for and start recieving disability. Unfortunately it is not a speedy process, even when you have a potentially life threatening disease. We are asking anyone to help us any way that they can. We certainly appreciate any contributions that you make and will definitely keep you updated on the status of his condition! We also appreciate it if you all keep Shawn in your prayers if you are so inclined. :)
