Shawn's Jupiter Clinical Trials

Shawn Collins is 33, good-looking, and smart. He has a nice smile and brown eyes that crinkle when he laughs. He has two daughters and is a dedicated father. In every way, Shawn is your average American guy, with one difference: he has a brain injury.
In December 2009, Shawn was working as a paraprofessional for the local school district. He suffered an anoxic brain injury, which can cause widespread brain damage. Shawn’s brain injury affected his memory, cognition, initiation (the ability to begin or end a task by yourself), and organization. He has a tough time making new memories and must be cued for things that we take for granted.
Shawn has made great strides in his rehabilitation. His family has kept up to speed on the state-of-the-art medical treatments for brain injury. They found a hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) program at the Joe Namath Neurological Research Center in Jupiter Florida and submitted Shawn's application to be included in clinical trials. For more information, go to www.namathneurocenter.com.
In May 2015, Shawn was notified that he was accepted into the program and even qualified for financial aid. However, his room and board while in Jupiter, Florida will cost his family an estimated $10,000.
Help us raise funds for Shawn's Jupiter Trip and give Shawn the chance to benefit from a hyperbaric oxygen therapy clinical trial.
Thank you in advance for your support!
