Hello! My name is Ashley lewicki. I have started a go fund me for my Auntie Shawna. My auntie was diagnosed with diabetes at the age of 18, in 1989. She always tried her bestto control her blood sugar levels but even with the support of doctors they never stayed at a stable level. When she was 38, she was diagnosed with full renal failure which, for those of you that dont know, means kidney failure. This causes your body to age 7 years to our average 1. My auntie was put on dialysis(no more being able to do things she loved doing- camping and traveling- because she needed to be hooked up to a machine.) and she was also placed on a transplant list, she was waiting for a kidney. At some point along the way, many saves by doctors, and many screw ups by doctors, a major screw up happened. Her name was taken off the transplant list. So now, 6 years from when she was diagnosed, due to complications that were missed by doctors, she has spent months in traction with infections in her spine, 90% blocked arteries in her legs and with all this and diabetic nerve damage she cant feel where her feet are and she falls over. The doctors thought she had MS because she has some very similar symptoms, but the tests came back negative. On a single income they cannot afford to buy a wheelchair that will cost $5000, as well as all the other expenses that go in with traveling to get her treatment, and her prescriptions, ect. The money raised with this gofundme with go to the payment of a wheelchair for auntie shawna. We need this wheelchair as soon as possible. Every donation will mean so much to me and my family, we have pushed through all of this on our own for years and this is the point in time where we really really need to ask for help from all of you! Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and for your donations.
