Shawna's cancer fight #cancersucks

At the age of 17 Shawna was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s and at such a young age made it through all her chemo and radiation with the strong attitude of a fighter that was not going to let this get her down. She was cancer free within that year and continued with her life having three boys 15, 11 and 6. She is a single mom raising her kids and like all single moms has good and bad days. Many of her bad days may be a little tougher with the 6-year-old being a special needs child. Though he is the light of her life, his needs and constant attention can be wearing.

Right after Christmas she was diagnosed with stage two breast cancer. She had a double mastectomy shortly after diagnosis and is presently going through her chemo treatment sessions and after 18 weeks of her sessions she will then go through 3 weeks of Radiation.

Shawna works for a privately owned company and though she has insurance and they are absolutely great taking her under their wings, the money is going to be very tight not working or trying to work part-time.

Every little bit helps to take care of medical bills and the kids, household bills, groceries during this time when she is unable to work. 

 She is such a wonderful person, daughter, niece, sister, mom, granddaughter, aunt and cousin. She is the kind of person who would do anything for anyone without ever asking for anything in return.  All the positive thoughts going her way is very appriecated.
