LET'S HELP SHAWN OUT OF THE ASHES
Donation protected
In the early hours of February 1, 2022, a very intense house fire forced Shawn Stevens, his girlfriend, two guests, and his dog and cat into the streets of Barre. All were able to get out successfully. Barre Lion Shawn Stevens lost virtually all of his possessions in the fire.
Shawn is a rather personable young man who makes his living climbing and cutting trees, maintaining properties, and plowing, etc. In the fire, Shawn lost all of his clothing and personal items along with a substantial collection of tools, saws, and equipment that allowed him to ply his trade. Unfortunately, he had no insurance. The Barre Lions Club provided him with a new pair of glasses and work boots, and the Red Cross gave him a gift card.
The Barre Lions Club is sponsoring a 'GOFUNDME' page, and reaching out to the general public and the Lions of District 33A to try to help Shawn out. At 38 years old, he is rapidly developing a reputation as a 'doer and giver' around town. He is a believer in 'paying things forward'. On many occasions he has, at little or no cost, helped local businesses, citizens and his town in storms and emergencies. He is always reaching out to help others. Now, we are reaching out on Shawns behalf to help him get back on his feet. You may donate to the 'Shawn Stevens Fire Fund' by using the 'GOFUNDME' page/link, or in person at any Athol Savings Bank location.
- Thank You in advance for any and all support.
