Shawn Smith Jr. Burial Fund

On December 10, 2020, our beloved son Shawn Delaney Smith Jr. aka “Sparks,”  to his friends,  sadly departed from this world. Unfortunately, we was not prepared to lay our beloved son to rest and as parents you never expect to bury your child first. 

Just to share a little about him..... Shawn Jr. was strong-willed, independent, hard-working, wonderful father and friend, charismatic, and just an awesome young man. He was such a blessing to many of our lives. He had a smile that lit up any room, was always so fun to be around, and never hesitated to help any one in need. Shawn Jr.  was the type of person who could always find the positive in any situation put in front of him. And even after becoming paralyzed from the waist down just a few short years ago he did not allow that to deter him from being who he was. Instead, he became an Ambassador for the disabled and would travel around providing  inspirational  words of encouragement to others in similar situations. And we are sure many friends and family members can attest to him being a positive reinforcement in their lives.

We are asking for help with the cost associated with Shawn Jr’s  funeral and celebration of life services.  Anything remaining will be given to his 3 children. We know the holidays are among us, so please do not donate or give your last If you are truly unable to do so. Knowing our son he would not want that.
