We are deeply saddened to share that our beloved friend, Shawn, was taken from us on Thursday 10/12/23. Shawn leaves behind his son Daniel, his 4 siblings Danna, Trinity, Michelle, and Brian as well as his brother in law Max, his nephew Max Jr., and his nieces Giselle and Sofia.  Shawn's life was filled with love, laughter and some tragedy. When Shawn was just 10 years old his lost his own father and later that same year his grandfather leaving him without a major male role model.  He and his siblings clunged together tightly to their Mother, Velva, who passed just a few years ago. Shawn had a deep love for his family and he touched the hearts of everyone he met with his unwavering humor. He grew up in Hawthorne, CA before moving to Riverside where he attended North High School. After graduation he moved back to the Southbay where he lived out the rest of his 46 years. Shawn's untimely and unexpected departure has been an immense tragedy for all of us, and we want to ensure he receives the farewell he deserves. Your generous contributions will go directly towards covering Shawn's funeral expenses, easing the financial burden for his son and siblings. No amount is too small.  Anything left after service expenses will go directly to his son Daniel Scruggs. Shawn's memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
