On Friday night, May 15th, we suddenly and unexpectedly lost my father to cardiac arrest. He was only 55 years old.
My mom did her best to do compressions until EMTs arrived and, when they did, they worked on bringing him back for over 30 minutes with no avail.
Shawn leaves behind his wife, who's 35 anniversary would have been June 24, a daughter (and best friend), two sons, 13 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Both Shawn and his wife, Robin, were/are each on disability as their means of income. This sudden cost, paired with the loss of income is becoming an extreme hardship on my mother and our family.
My father was a proud Marine, generous friend, brave leader, caring family man, and full-time self-proclaimed comedian He loved wholly and selflessly.
Please refer to photo of invoice of burial costs, for proof of costs. The goal amount is a little higher than cost in hopes of putting together a celebration of life with my dad's family, friends, Marine Corp brothers, and all others who loved him on the day of his and his wife's anniversary. Due to COVID we are unable to have Marine funeral services with the salute, flag, etc. at his burial site and will be doing this portion of his service at his June celebration of life, as well.
