Shawn Odom
Donation protected
Shawn Odom, beloved husband, father, brother, son, and friend, died unexpectedly on Friday, March 3, 2023. He left his wife, Caren Cleveland Odom, and his daughters Eliza and Sloane to figure out life without his wit and joy and caretaking wrapped obviously around them. We are opening this fundraiser to allow Caren some space free of financial worry to find her way forward. The funds will be used to pay household expenses while Caren focuses her attention on all the other decisions needed by her family right now.
We are grateful to acknowledge an anonymous $1,000 donation already sent to the family. Our goal is to provide significant financial support for at least three months. Any amount you donate will be given directly to big household expenses such as mortgage and utilities. Others in Shawn and Caren's community are helping with food and service planning and the massive paperwork required when someone dies. If you are called to help in one of those areas, please leave us a message. But here we are collecting money to cover the financial gap caused by the unexpected loss of one wage earner. Thank you for helping this family mind the gap.
The family does want to share with you their own grief and joy about Shawn. A formal obituary will be published on 3/8. Visitation will be on Sunday, March 12 from 1:00 - 3:00 at the Tim Stewart Funeral Home in Monroe, GA and afterwards at the Monroe Golf and Country Club.
Please continue to leave your messages here for the family to read when they are ready. I will check daily and respond when needed.
Thank you for loving the Odoms.
