Shawn Neary , major medical and life expenses

My name as Linda Hopkins and I am fundraising for my brother, Shawn Neary. Shawn was diagnosed with stage 4 Lung Cancer a few weeks ago. He has since had a lung biopsy in Wichita, Ks. He has had 2 different blood transfusions to include 20 units of blood. He has had several emergency room visits in Neodesha. Two days ago he had a major bleed and was transported to KU Medical center in Kansas City, Ks. He coded and was brought back upon arriving at KU. A little while later he coded again. He has since been put in a ventilator. He had surgery to try to stop the bleeding. It was somewhat successful but he still has some bleeding internally and has a chest tube suctioning blood as well as assistance with breathing on the ventilator. He is being kept comfortable at this point. His kidneys and liver have also been affected. The cancer is in both lungs and one tumor is blocking his airway in the esophagus. He is currently in critical condition. This will prevent him from normal life functioning including working on heat and air that has always been his livelihood. The medical bills and daily life bills are adding up. It is inevitable that also he will be facing end of life expense and funeral expenses. Our family appreciates any suport you can give us in this time of need. We are blessed to have such wonderful friends , family and community members.
