Shawn Hambrick~The Road To Recovery

On Sunday, June 13th, while leading a motorcycle group ride down US 412 West, Siloam Springs, AR, Shawn Hambrick was involved in a horrific motorcycle accident. For reasons unknown, a driver pulled out in front of him, causing Shawn to clip the back corner bumper of the Ford truck. Shawn was thrown from his motorcycle and suffered numerous minor injuries, but was also left with an almost completely severed leg that was hanging on by a thread, just above the ankle. Someone at the scene offered their belt to use as a tourniquet and undoubtedly saved his life. Shawn was taken by ambulance to Washington Regional Hospital in Fayetteville, where surgeons ended up having to amputate his right leg just above the knee in order to get a better fit for a prosthetic. 

Before you decide whether you will or won't donate to this fund, let me give you a little background on Shawn.  He's a son, a brother, an uncle, a Marine Veteran, a boyfriend, and Dad to his 20 yr old daughter, Alyssa Hambrick and her 3 furry siblings of English Bulldogs Sir Walter, Sir Winston, and Harley. Both daughter and dogs are the center of his world. Hard to say which is more spoiled. 

Shawn is kind hearted, dependable, hard working, and an all around good guy that'd give the shirt off his back to help someone in need.  The weeks and months ahead are going to be physically, mentally, emotionally, and financially challenging. My goal in creating this account is to help relieve some of the financial stress and allow Shawn to focus solely on healing and adjusting to life with a prosthetic.
