Our friend Shawn Gavin passed away on 6-16-20. As most of you know, he did not have a family, so his friends became his family. His passing was sudden, despite his failing health. He had a fantastic day the day before his illness took over. He went out with his friend Bill and had ice cream. He bought plants for the community garden where he lived and ran a few errands. He was positive, happy, and excited about his future.
We will have a Celebration of Life for Shawn, that's the way he would want it! We will gather to share stories, look at old photo's and eat!
His mother was a wonderful woman, her life was devoted to Shawn. She had a bad heart and had heart valve replacements. She passed right after he graduated on 6-16-87 can you believe he died on the same date? I was so happy to say yes to organ donation, he donated his heart valves! I know his mother would smile! He was able to donate tissue, bone, cartilage to help 75 people!

If you are able, any money you could donate will pay for his final expenses. I meet with the funeral home Tuesday 6-23 and will pay for his cremation that day.

While he lived without a family, he was not without love! Whether your relationship was years ago or current, money you can send to help would be appreciated.
