We are raising money to help our family members, Shawn and Angela Spencer, who lost everything in a fire. On Wednesday afternoon (April 19, 2023), Angela was home alone and Shawn had gone to pick up their daughters from school when a fire broke out on the back side of their house. The wind caused the fire to spread quickly and in a very short time, the entire second story was destroyed. The firefighters did a great job putting out the fire but had to drench the entire house to ensure the fire was out. With fire, smoke and water damage the house is a total loss. Three of the family pets were lost (two parakeets and one cat) and two pets survived (one cat named Pip and Roxy the dog).
The family of four is staying in a local hotel and the Red Cross is helping with immediate essentials but they will need our help getting their life back to normal. It is impossible to plan for a disaster like this. Anything you can donate will help. If you do not feel comfortable donating money, Angela is also making an Amazon wish list where you can purchase things that will be sent directly to them. Another option is to contact one of us directly and we can arrange something.
