Hey all, my name is Coach Jake and I represent the Southeastern Hockey Association of Wisconsin. You may have seen our 10U team featured on the news, playing at our back yard rink that I build each year.

Unfortunately, there aren't enough ice rinks in our area for skaters to gain adequate access to the ice. Due to this SHAW is fundraising to build a new rink and asks for your help!

What Is SHAW?

SHAW is a non profit youth hockey association that was established in 1970. We are based in Wisconsin and strive to make hockey accessible to families by keeping ice fees as low as possible. SHAW supports athletes from ages as young as three years old, all the way through high school. We have co-ed teams, girls teams, and the SHAW Pirates (Special needs hockey). Our organization relies heavily on volunteers with our coaches, managers, and board members all donating their time and efforts. This helps keep ice fees affordable, but also creates a challenge as the organization has limited resources. The ice rink that we play at is facing challenges as the facility ages, and the infrastructure is beginning to fail. To sustain the organization, we must repair the current rink, with the goal to build an additional facility. We are asking for the help of the community in raising funds!

What We Need - $2

Aren't ice rinks expensive? Yes they are, but we know that families have a lot of other costs in todays world. We are only asking for modest contribution of $2, but hope that you will help us spread the word through social media to reach as many people as possible. Our hope is that if we reach enough people, a small amount from a lot of people can make a big difference, and potentially get the word out to large corporate donors!
