To all family, friends and associates of Shavon Mitchell & family, my daughter is gone too soon due to domestic violence and lack of proper government care of the mentally ill!  December 2, 2020, her life was tragically taken at 28 years old by a  lost soul, once a high school sweethearts, who would later expire the same day under police fire after a spree of senselessness inspired by violent video games and other influences.

The two had a son (my grandson), five years ago together, who instantly became orphaned as a result of this horrible tragedy.  May the memory of my lovely daughter live on as the purpose of this fund raising campaign is multifaceted:

1.  To offset the burial costs and memorial expenditures of Shavon Mitchell
2.  To assist in covering costs for family travel, transportation and lodging to attend the funeral
3.  To lift the burden of unsettled personal business and family obligations in the absence of a life insurance policy.
4.  To start a fund to care for my grandson regarding his health, welfare, education and future endeavors.
5.  To raise awareness and foster action against domestic violence
6.  To raise awareness and prompt political re-visitation of how to deal with the mentally ill.
