Shaving My Head & Fundraising For Canadian Cancer Society!

Hi, my name is Matt and for the last 12 years I have had rather long hair!

Recently I've been thinking about making a drastic change and decided that in doing so I might as well take a stab at doing some good while I'm at it. I will be shaving my head on November 1st this year and until that point I am hoping to raise funds for the Canadian Cancer Society's Prostate Cancer research.

Now, why Prostate Cancer you may ask? Well almost four years ago, my family had our lives turned upside down by my Dad receiving the news that he had prostate cancer. I'm pleased to report that my Dad had managed to catch it early and had a successful procedure and is now 3 years cancer free. My family was very lucky, thousands of families every year are not. This is why Prostate Cancer is the cause I'm specifically fundraising for.

In addition to all the funds raised here being donated to the Canadian Cancer Society's Prostate Cancer research I will also be donating my hair to Hair Donation Ottawa where it will be used in wigs for patients at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario.
