Shaving my hair for the Irish Cancer Society
Due to 2020 being quite a difficult year for a lot of people, I have made a decision to make 2021 a year of giving and hope to giving back to the local community from the comfort of home.
To start off the year I am hoping to raise funds for the Irish Cancer Society by doing the beloved tradition of shave or dye.
I have chosen to donate to the Irish Cancer Society as they provide support services for anyone affected by cancer.
I, myself, at 18 I visited my doctor with mild pains and was later sent to hospital where they found cancer cells in my cervix, later a clump of cancer cells was removed, my journey was brief, but unfortunately, not everyone is fortunate enough to have a brief journey.
As you can see my picture above shows my blonde shoulder length hair in all its former glory, but I am very excited to shave it shortly to help raise funds for people who need them.
I have chosen the 27th of March as my hair shaving date or when ever I achieve my goal target. I also work for a fantastic company called Sage who will match a part of my donation, so if anyone can even donate a euro here and there it will make a big impact in the long run.
If you are interested in viewing, I will be making a video getting my head shaved and be posting it on:

If you feel like you can, I highly encourage others to set up their own funding accounts to help charities in 2021 as they really do need donations.
Peace and love
Vicky
