Chop the Mop for St Jude's
Hey folks, my hair is my best friend and worst enemy. My, 'crowning glory', as Mum would say. Today I celebrated three years since leaving Australia to work at The School of St Jude in Tanzania. COVID-19 could potentially hit St Jude's funding fairly hard. I’ve also got it on my bucket list to shave my head. What better time than when the world’s practically locked down? If I hit my fundraising target by the 10th May, I’ll shave this mop of curls off and your donation will go to a great cause - helping to educate 1,800 of Tanzania’s poorest and brightest young people.
Give me an excuse to look like an egg for a while and give others a good laugh at my expense during an international crisis! I'm sure there'll also be plenty of awkward hair days and giggles as I regrow the 'fro.
Any donation is greatly appreciated. I thank you for it, and so do our students. #fightingpovertythrougheducation #chopthemop #schoolofstjude
