Shaunte’s Heart Transplant Journey
Donation protected
Family and Friends,
As many of you know my sister, Shaunte McClendon, has dealt with heart issues for over a decade. She was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy in 2006 shortly after the birth of her daughter Taylor. She underwent a mechanical heart valve replacement in October 2013. A pacemaker defibrillator was implanted in March 2014. During this timeframe she has been a dedicated mother to her four children. She has been a supportive daughter, sister, aunt and friend. I’ve watched her lean on God throughout this process. Even while going through catherizations, ER visits, hospital stays, defibrillator discharges, iron infusions - she never complains. She is most concerned about her children.
During the height of the pandemic, she was told to consult with the Emory transplant team. After numerous tests & virtual calls, she was deemed “not sick enough” to continue the process. Recently we were told she should be reevaluated. We’re now further along in the process than we were in 2021. This is where our compassionate community comes in. We need your help rallying together to support Shaunte’s heart transplant journey. Your contribution of any amount will help us raise funds for the life saving surgery as well as future ongoing costs (medicine, follow up visits, etc). If you’re unable to assist at this time, please share the link so we can reach more people.
She doesn’t look at all like what she’s gone through. We know it’s because of God’s grace, mercy & unmerited favor that she’s still with us!!! Please continue to pray for Shaunte as she is preparing for the miracle God is crafting specifically for her. We want to bombard heaven on her behalf for continued healing and God’s sustaining power. Send ALL texts, emails, calls, inboxes etc. to her big sister, Tamika Osborne. Thanks in advance may God bless you!
