Shauna's Fight for Survival!

Shauna-Lynn Reiner is a kind, caring and compassionate 37-year-old woman, who has dedicated her life to helping children, special needs individuals and other members of marginalized populations. She has been an upstanding member of the Nelson & West Kootenay community for more than two decades.

In May of 2021, Shauna was a victim of a brutal attack that left her with significant organ damage and PTSD. She has been fighting for her life in and out of hospitals for the past two years.

Shauna’s stomach is unable to tolerate food and she is slowly starving to death. Medical professionals have been trying to find a way to stop the aggressive loss of weight and allow her to begin to absorb nutrients again... THEY HAVE BEEN UNSUCCESSFUL.

Medical bills are piling up. Shauna has had to travel to and from Vancouver, Kelowna, and the Kootenays for a range of specialist appointments, treatments and emergency hospital admissions over the past two years. Shauna will have to continue traveling back and forth from the Kootenays to Vancouver for the chance of finding a potentially life-saving treatment.

SHAUNA NEEDS OUR HELP.

Shana is unable to work due to her rapidly declining health. The cost of her medications, treatments, and travel is overwhelming. As it stands, Shauna is on income support and waiting to be accepted under disability, but as we all know this really will not provide the financials for anything but less than the bare minimum. As it stands, doctors are at A LOSS FOR SOLUTIONS to get her body to absorb anything nourishing.

SHE NOW NEEDS TO TRY COSTLY ALTERNATIVE THERAPIES IN THE HOPES OF KEEPING HER ALIVE & FUNCTIONING.
