Shauna Richards Memorial Fund

Our small community is feeling very heavy as we know we will soon lose a truly amazing woman in Shauna Richards. Together, we shared a passion for our kids' education. Shauna and I admin a Facebook group for other parents, and it is only ONE of the groups she works on. I wish I could list all of the selfless things she is involved in, from sewing bras for breast cancer survivors, finding free clothing, school supplies, and furnishings for those in need, to providing holiday meals to families facing challenges. It doesn't matter what it is, or who it is for, when someone is in need, Shauna is ALWAYS the first to jump and volunteer to find help. Now it's our turn to support Shauna and her family in their greatest time of need.

Shauna has been a true warrior, fighting metastatic breast cancer for many years. Although she has a tiny frame, her spirit and determination to win this fight have been awe-inspiring. Her endless positivity and compassion for others while ignoring her own needs is just remarkable. Recently, Shauna went to the hospital, and her stay there took a turn. She learned that her cancer had spread to nearly every organ system and it was now very aggressive. This past Wednesday, Shauna returned home on hospice. Shauna is weak and resting. Her family is surrounding her with love and comfort until she goes home to her Lord and Savior, where she will be made whole again. Her unwavering faith has been inspiring to so many.

Please join me in supporting the Richards family. At this time, they are spending every precious moment with Shauna. This account is going to help them with any medical expenses and other costs associated with her care and the support of her husband, Gary, and her five beautiful girls.
