Shauna and Jeff are homeowners in our condominium community in Tehaleh who courageously face a very serious progressive medical condition every day.

Eighteen years ago, Jeff was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, shocking and life-changing for him and Shauna who were married just a few years at the time. Shauna is now Jeff’s primary caregiver 24/7. Adding to the loving round-the-clock care she gives Jeff, Shauna also works remotely full-time, thanks to a very understanding employer.

Jeff recently suffered a very serious MS relapse from which he never recovered. Now he is bedridden 100% of the time. Confined to the upstairs master bedroom of their home, Jeff enjoys listening to music with his eyes closed due to the severe MS symptoms. These symptoms cause many serious health complications which on occasion result in 911 calls day or night for emergency medical assistance and necessary ambulance transportation to and from a hospital.

WHY? With the stair chair, Shauna can evacuate Jeff in the event of a fire or other disaster, transport him home from hospital stays, and take him outdoors for a welcome change of scenery.
