We all know this legend. He's been our work colleague, our friend and our family. He seldom has a bad word to say, unless his beloved Melbourne Demons football team are behind at 3/4 time. But this season, Shaun's going to need your support to reach his Grand Finale.

For some time, Shaun has endured vascular issues with very little blood flow to his lower right leg & living with incredible pain on a daily basis. In January, he underwent 4 operations to restore the flow with a bypass from his upper femoral artery. After almost a month in hospital his surgeons have told him the bypass didn't work. He is now facing a below knee amputation.

Whilst he has the support of his wife and family, he still has the task of paying the mortgage, the everyday utilities and medical expenses before even looking at future work opportunities. On a positive note, he did say he's going to be 'half man, half machine' !

I was welcomed into the Thompson family in 1987 when Shaun was only 11. He'll be 50 in August & he's like a brother to me. Both Vicki & I are now asking you to reach out to this wonderful human & assist him wherever you can.
