In memory of Shaun Proudfoot

Hi everyone. I’m sure you’re all aware of the loss that has befallen us in the parting of our friend, and family member, Shaun.

After meeting his younger sister and many people contacting us offering to help, we wanted to put this Go Fund Me in place if people would like to contribute toward his funeral costs.

Shaun passed away recently after losing the love of his life.

His lovely dog Princess was taken from him in heart breaking circumstances. Shaun made no error, did nothing wrong and was only a victim of misfortune, bad circumstance and awful luck.

Shaun suffered bad luck not only on this occasion, but at various times in his life which continuously brought him down.

He always seemed to be able to bring himself back with help from the many people that cared about him, but wasn’t one to ever share how he really felt inside, although it was plain to see on his face sometimes.

Shaun lost his fight a short time ago when he felt he was never going to get Princess back. Feeling alone and without knowing where to turn he sadly took his own life.

There are no firm plans regarding the funeral currently. The funeral itself will be close family only and not something that will be able to be attended by everyone.

With that in mind a wake of great proportion will be held. We will celebrate what can only be described as a beautiful, caring man, who made us all smile, and cry on more than a few occasions.

Shaun’s family completely understand that as people won’t be able to attend his funeral, they may not wish to contribute to the cost of the arrangements. Therefore, they have found a suitable charity to donate to if you wish to help in another way, in Shaun’s name. They help homeless people and their pets.

Thank you all for reading and any contribution you wish to make will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Charley

Hi,

I just want to thank everyone for the messages, stories and pictures they have shared.

I know many people, including my self, always wanted the best for Shaun. So many people tried to help him how they could and hoped that one day he would land on his feet. Unfortunately that day never came.

He truly had the most caring heart but one person can only deal with so much. I am so desperately sad it has come to this.

Please if you or someone you know is struggling, tell them it is OK to reach out and be open about how they are feeling. All the people that love you will want to help, no matter how big or small, no matter how insignificant or alone you may feel there will always be someone somewhere thinking of you, wanting the best for you.

Thank you

Carrie (Shauns younger sister)
