Shaun O’Malley

Hello friends, this is Ron Neumeister, I am organizing this Go Fund Me as a memorial for my closest childhood friend Shaun O'Malley. We did everything together. We shared the same hopes, the same fears and of course the same troubles together, growing up. We were inseparable. If I ever needed help, Shaun was the first one to help me. Shaun was like a little brother to me. I joined the Marine Corps....a few years later so did he. We got in touch a few times when he and I were stationed in Yuma and Southern California. I got married to my wife Kathleen and he to Christina (Nina). Our lives got busy with careers and family, and we lost touch with one another. A couple years back we reconnected with each other through Facebook and talked a few times about getting together and to rekindle our childhood friendship. Unfortunately that never happened. On Memorial Day, May 31, 2021 the unimaginable happened, Shaun was unexpectedly and tragically taken from his family. Early that morning he got in his Jeep to check on his pontoon with his buddy, his dog Gunner, up north where he and Nina were building their dream retirement home. He was rear-ended at high speed by a hit and run driver, he and his dog were killed instantly. Shaun leaves behind his wife Nina, daughter Staci (Nick), son Jim (Jessica), and 5 grandchildren, Elli, Kiki, Tori, Crosby, and Shaun got to meet his two week old granddaughter, Luna that weekend.

Shaun and Nina were so looking forward to enjoying their retirement in their home they were building together. Even though Shaun is no longer with us, I want to continue his dream for him and his family.
