It is with a heavy heart that I share with you that on the 6th September 2023, Shaun Mansell, beloved husband to Scarlett, devoted Father to Kelysse, Jake and Faith, cruely lost his short battle with cancer.
On July 17th, Shaun turned 40 and began planning future adventures away with his beautiful family. They had booked their first Christmas Holiday away at the Bluestone Resort, which was something they were very much looking forward to.
Shaun absolutely adored his family, and would do everything right by them. After moving into their beautiful new home on 21st April, Shaun was finally able to sit back, smile, and look forward to what the future had in store.
Shaun went in to hospital on Thursday 27th July with abdominal pains, to then being taken into a room on Friday 28th July to be told he had advanced cancer of the bowel and would need major surgery..... Unfortunately, that wasn't it... the cancer had spread to his liver and over the next 6 weeks, Shauns liver would begin to deteriorate rapidly, to which, he was eventually told that there would be no treatment available to help prolong Shauns life.
Shaun made the decision to go in to St David's Hopsice to be cared for, and to spend the remaining days of his life with his close friends and family by his side.
On 6/09/2023 at 8am, Shaun closed his eyes for the final time with his loving wife holding his hand.
Shaun has left a huge hole in the lives of everyone that knew him. He was a loving husband, an incredible father, respected work colleague, the best running partner and the best friend anyone could wish for. Shaun, you are going to be sorely missed.
This fund will be a crucial support for Scarlett, kelysse, Jake and Faith as they adjust to their tragic loss. It will contribute to laying Shaun to rest and giving him the send off that he deserves. Shauns family would also like to plant a memorial tree at a place that holds special memories to all of them. We are thankful for any support that you may be able to provide, and any comforting words that you would like to pass on to the family at this terribly sad time. Please could you kindly share so others are aware of the heartbreaking news about our Shaun.

Rest easy Shaun, we will all see you again x
