Shaun Earl Harris Celebration of Life

On Saturday, May 7th, at 5:30 PM, our beloved Shaun Earl Harris, father, brother, uncle and friend to many across the world, passed away peacefully in a small hospital in the Free State, South Africa.

The outpouring of love, condolences and support has been overwhelming. Shaun touched so many lives through his mentorship, love, passion and perseverance. Our hearts are full seeing the impact his spirit and kind soul had on so many. Shaun’s legacy lives within in his three children, whose names carry a message for us all in this time of sorrow; Zinathi (Blessings With Us) Olive Harris, 12; Zukhanye (Let The Light Shine Upon Us) Joanna Harris, 9; and Duaine Leon Warrier, 35.

The proceeds of these donations will assist in bringing Shaun’s twin sister, Sharon and son, Duaine to be united with him for closure in South Africa. Any remaining proceeds will be used to continue Shaun’s fight for the rights of his art, to support the schools and villagers of QwaQwa and assist in the installation of a water well he dreamed of for many years.

Together, with the help of the South African Jamaican community, there will be a celebration of life - details to come soon.
