Shattered Dreams for 45 Bronx Nurses HELP US FIGHT

This cannot be the end for us. This cannot be our fate.
We are a group of 45 nurses who spent the last 3 years studying hard to get our degree as Family Nurse Practitioners, with the hopes and dreams of serving the most vulnerable community in the state. We put our families and personal lives on hold to pursue a better tomorrow for our families. We spent our life savings and many took out school loans to help us achieve our goal. We were so proud and excited at the thought of graduating at the end of December. With so many of us losing family members and having spent most of the year working overtime at the hospitals because of the Coronavirus pandemic, our upcoming graduation was the light at the end of a very long and dark tunnel.
But 10 days ago, our dreams turned into a nightmare. We were informed by our school that the accrediting body CCNE withdrew our accreditation just 30 days shy of graduation!! We can no longer pursue our dreams. We were so close, the diploma and our future both at the tips of our fingers, we almost grabbed it! This isn't only unjust, it is CRUEL. We are not allowed to sit for our boards and if we graduate January 1st, 2021 without accreditation, we will NEVER have that opportunity, and all of our hard work the last 3 years were all for nothing.
Since the news came, we have spent our days making phone calls, writing letters, begging to be made an exception and be allowed to take the boards exam. We keep hitting dead ends, and apologies that there is nothing that can be done. As I am writing this, I'm crying.
Help us fight! We cannot afford all the legal fees needed for the lawyers. We cannot fight this fight alone. We need help! Please please please help us. Anything you can contribute will bring us a step closer to fighting back.
