Hello, my name is Nate Morris, and I am in a difficult situation that has left me fighting to get back on my feet. My life was turned upside down a few months ago, and I am now asking for your help to rebuild what I've lost.
It all started when I had an accident that shattered my collarbone, a severe injury that required immediate surgery. As a result, I was forced to take off nearly two months of work for recovery. I had only been with my company for about a year, and I was eager to get back and prove my worth. But just one month after returning, I was laid off due to company cutbacks. The financial security I had was completely gone.
Since then, the struggles have piled up. I'm doing everything I can to make ends meet, DoorDashing full-time on an e-bike and even selling plasma twice a week just to pay what bills I can. I can get to the nearby town of Alvin on my e-bike, but the job market there is very tough. To find stable, good-paying employment, I need to be able to travel to more promising areas like Friendswood or even the Houston area.
The biggest hurdle I face is a logistical one. I have no way of getting to a good job because I don't own a vehicle. To get to the better job market, I need to obtain an occupational driver's license. The filing fee for the petition to the court is $350, a cost that feels impossible to reach right now. With a license and a reliable vehicle, I could find a stable job and, most importantly, be a consistent and present father for my children.
Every dollar will go directly toward these specific goals:
Securing my occupational driver's license and then purchasing a reliable vehicle to get to and from a stable job.
Helping with monthly bills and other living expenses while I search for employment.
Paying down the medical bills from my surgery.
Making essential repairs to my home to create a safe living environment.
I tried a GoFundMe before, and while a few kind souls donated, it never gained much traction. I'm trying again, with the hope that this time my story will reach those who can help.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story. Any contribution, no matter how small, would mean the world to me and help me get my life back on track. If you can't donate, please consider sharing my story with your friends and family. Your support gives me hope. God bless.
