Sharyn E. Suprenant's Funeral Expenses

On behalf of my dear friend Thomas Suprenant, from whom so many of us have benefited from his experience and friendship over these many years, I am asking for your help to ensure his dear mother is provided the burial and memorial she so richly deserves. 100% of your donations will go directly to the funeral home, end-of-life medical bills, and the remainder to Thom as he strives to move into a new phase of his life without his mother, who we all knew as Cher. The following is a message from Thomas:

Dear friends and colleagues,

I am writing you today to humbly ask for your help cremating my loving mother, Sharyn Elizabeth Suprenant. I am embarrassed to say that I cannot afford her funeral expenses, and without payment, on August 15th, she will be turned over to the County.

My mum, the 1952 Queen of Burbank and a long-time industry wig-maker, lost her battle with this life on the 26th of July. For the past ten years, she fought against the cold, closing darkness of Alzheimer’s. Through many of those years, I was blessed to keep her with me in our Apple Valley home until the final months when her condition required professional care.

Over those years, I could not commit to employment opportunities because they often required more time away from home than Mum could manage on her own. As a result, I had to reduce my social media presence. Sales of my product subsequently slowed. Over these years, my dear friends provided me opportunities to teach and promote their products so I could care for her without long absences and still pay the bills before too many months past due. Their kindness provided me with the resources necessary to keep mum in her home.

I have loved every minute of my more than 30 years in the industry, and as many of my colleagues know, it is our passion and not the promise of riches that feeds our creative souls. I wouldn’t change anything about my life and career and the decisions I have made. I loved my mother unconditionally.

Those who have cared for a loved one with Alzheimer’s will understand when I say that the heart-crushing hours since Mum’s death are accompanied by the relief that it is finally over for both of us.

I ask for your help paying the $1,600 cremation cost to keep Mum from being relegated to San Bernardino County, as well as $3,000 due for her end-of-life medical expenses.
