Faces of Susan Battling Breast Cancer
Susan Harte is a beautiful woman and a mother of two grown young adults.
Susan was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer in February 2014. Susan had three surgeries with one surgeon and they never got all of the cancer. Susan then had to go to Froedtert and start all over. The BIG guns came out!

Susan had a lot thrown at her during this fight. The company that Susan worked at then did not offer disability, so right after her modified radical mastectomy Susan had to go back to work. Susan struggled through her chemotherapy and radiation. There were days that Susan could not even walk.
In 2015 Susan developed neuropathy of the hands and feet caused by the chemotherapy and this also caused nerve damage down the back of both legs, it even hurt to sit in a chair. Susan had several appointments at the pain management clinic where she endured several spinal injections to help alleviate the nerve pain. It might have culminated by having her spinal nerves cut.

Due to the fact that the chemo weakened Susan’s bones severely she also sustained a stress fracture in her femur, on her left leg. Because she was in a leg brace and had to walk with a cane, she was not able to move forward with the back procedure.
As Susan fought this battle her body and outward appearance changed through each step of the journey. There were many “Faces of Susan”.
While going through all of this, Susan was let go at the company she was working for, as she was trying to move forward in taking the next steps to be whole again.
In the Spring of 2016 Susan had her major reconstruction surgery, called Double Diep Flap, that was a three-month recovery and she was not able to work. While Susan was healing she had to have carpal tunnel surgery due to nerve damage on her right hand sustained during the previous surgery.

In the Fall of 2016 Susan had a Diep Flap repair surgery since the first reconstruction was not a one and done. Currently Susan is recovering from that procedure.
Unfortunately, the carpal tunnel surgery was not the solution to the nerve damage. On December 5th 2016 Susan is having surgery to correct the medial nerve injury to her right hand and arm, for a rare condition called Pronator Syndrome, which is compression neuropathy of the nerve. Susan will be out of work for approximately five weeks.
Besides the recent medical debt, Susan is still trying to pay all the past due medical bills and keep up with her daily living expenses, besides the debt accumulated when she was out of work.
Any donation that you feel you may be able to give will help Susan pay for her medical bills and would be appreciated. Please help Susan and keep her in your prayers. Thank you to everyone who reads this and donates. Every dollar counts. Please share this with your friends and spread the word!
As we start this new year of 2017, Susan wishes you a year filled with Happiness and Good Health. That is her prayer for you.
