Hello friends. My family is needing to ask for support in helping my mom in a health battle that she has been facing for the past 3 years. Her condition has progressively worsened and unfortunately, much of the treatment is not covered by insurance so she has to travel away from home often.

She was diagnosed with severe long covid in 2022. Doctors at John Hopkins and Mayo Clinic's Long Covid programs say its affected her brain and nervous system; she is unable to stand for longer than a few moments, has tremors, severe chronic daily pain and inability to get in proper nutrition. She was hospitalized for a lengthy period due to being severely underweight and is still battling that as her body rejects food, seeing it as a threat due to nervous system dysregulation.

She was the most outgoing, fun loving, enthusiastic person and we need to have her health returned to her. She is needing to try some treatments that take her far away and the cost is not something we can cover alone.
