Sharon's Memorial Bench on Jekyll Island, GA
See below for Obituary.
Hello, this is Gregg Nicholson I'm Sharon's son and I am organizing this fundraiser on my Mom's behalf. She loved to spend time on Jekyll Island with friends and family but above all else she loved going to sit on a bench with her husband Dale to watch the sunset when she was there. Every time she went there she made sure she made time to at least go once and take in the beautiful sunset the island has to offer.
Unfortunately, she lost her long and hard battle with liver disease early in the morning on Saturday August 7, 2021. She was surrounded by family and loved ones, as she always was because she just loved to spend time with everyone no matter where she was.
We are trying to Raise $6,000 so that we can have a bench and surrounding landscape memorialized in her name at her favorite place to sit and watch the sunset with her best friend and husband, Dale. In addition to allowing Dale to sit and watch the sunset with Sharon in spirit for years to come this will also allow friends and family to come and do the same. Not to mention all the countless others who will be able to use her bench and enjoy the sunset like we all know she would.
Should we exceed our goal, any amount beyond what it takes to obtain a bench and surrounding landscape in her name will be used to pay remaining medical and/or funeral expenses.
Any and all donations are welcome and the entire family thanks you for your support.
